The Power of Connection - #OneSunrise

The Power of Connection - #OneSunrise

While cleaning out some boxes a few months ago, I came across a stack of old pictures of my friends from college. As I gazed at photos from our graduation in 2000, crazy memories from those years came rushing back and I began to feel a bit sad about the fact that I had not seen many of those friends since that day. In order to commemorate those amazing friends and that very touching moment, I did what most people in 2015 would do...I held onto those memories until the following Thursday when I posted an embarrassing photo on Facebook, tagged my friends, and added #TBT (aka – Throw Back Thursday).

Technology, the internet, and social media allow people to connect and re-connect all over the world. Professionally speaking, there is nothing cooler than being able to reach out to a former mentor for collaboration, link-up with a colleague who is halfway across the world, meet new people in our industry, or connect with individuals who are benefiting from the equipment manufactured by #SunriseMedical simply by picking up my smartphone.

We are announcing an exciting new platform for the mobility community around the world. Previously successful local efforts on various social media platforms have led to the creation of this global cyber community where end users, caregivers, clinicians, suppliers, and other stakeholders from all over the world can have access to timely business information, news, events and so much more.

You will now be able to find Sunrise Medical on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn. A similar structure is in place for the Quickie channels, where you will be able to reach hundreds of thousands of wheelchair users, their family members, and caregivers via the consolidated Quickie Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.
