A Quickie Life Story: Jenny Siegle

A Quickie Life Story: Jenny Siegle

Jenny was born and raised right outside of Denver, Colorado. While sick with what seemed to be her first bout with a flu bug when she was just 9-months-old, Jenny’s parents noted a sudden and drastic change in her motor skills. She was eventually diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis, an inflammation of the spinal cord which sometimes results in injury across the spinal cord. Jenny’s spinal cord was impacted at the C4/C5 level. At a very young age Jenny’s parents encouraged her to not let her injury get in the way of her desires. In fact, when Jenny was 2 years old she became the youngest person in the state of Colorado to be approved by her funding source for a power wheelchair.
