Big Celebrations at Sunrise Medical in April!

Cue the streamers and party music, Sunrise Medical is celebrating the addition of new members to our family. On April 2nd it was officially announced that Sunrise Medical acquired Switch-It Inc. For over 25 years, Switch-It has been designing, manufacturing, and distributing specialty input devices and alternative drive controls. The timing of Switch-It joining the Sunrise family could not be more perfect. "Why" you ask? Because Switch-It was born when founder Mark Parker assisted his wife, an Occupational Therapist, with designing a device that would allow one of her young clients the ability to drive a power wheelchair. In my opinion, it's pretty cool that we acquired this phenomenal company during National Occupational Therapy Month! Similar to the Quickie brand, Switch-It was founded by a couple of individuals who had it in their hearts to improve the lives of people with disabilities through the use of innovative technology.

Carrying out our company mission of "Improving Peoples' Lives" is something we take very seriously and could not do alone. Highly skilled and dedicated clinicians play a vital role in the process of ensuring clients receive the most appropriate complex rehabilitation equipment. In order to celebrate #OTMonth, we have decided to bring back our popular contest from last year:

Subscribe to our Education in Motion Blog at any point between now and April 30th to be entered into a drawing for a $100 VISA Gift Card!! Click here to subscribe:

On behalf of Sunrise Medical, I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) who have dedicated their careers to improving the lives of their clients.

Thank you for reading our blog! We love hearing from you, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We encourage you to leave a comment or send us an email.

Always remember at the end of the day, your client is your number one priority!
